Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Classic Paint VR ("the app"), available at paint.cadnodes.com and as an app on Meta Quest, handles information. The app is offered free of charge by CADNodes, and no guarantees are made regarding its functionality or availability.
What we collect and why
Usage data
We collect usage data through Google Analytics to understand how the app is used, such as page visits and interaction metrics. This is limited to the information Google Analytics needs to provide those statistics; we do not collect anything beyond it.
What we do not collect
- No accounts, logins, names or email addresses.
- Your drawings stay on your device. They are never uploaded to us. A drawing is kept only in the app's memory while it runs, and a PNG is saved to your device's Downloads folder only when you choose Save.
- Hand and controller tracking is used on your device in real time so you can paint. It is not recorded, stored or sent anywhere.
- In passthrough mode the headset shows your surroundings, but the app does not access, record or store camera images.
- No advertising and no profiling.
Stored on your device
The app keeps a small preference in your browser's local storage (which hand holds the palette) and uses a service worker cache so it can load faster and work offline. This stays on your device; you can remove it at any time by clearing the site's data in your browser or headset settings. The app itself sets no cookies; Google Analytics may use cookies or similar identifiers as described in Google's policies.
Third-party services
- Google Analytics (usage data, see above). See Google's Privacy Policy.
- Cloudflare hosts the app and, like any web host, processes your IP address and request details to deliver the pages and keep the service secure. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
- jsDelivr serves the 3D models of the Quest controllers when you use controllers, so your IP address is visible to that content network when they load.
- Meta provides the Quest device, browser and store through which you run the app; their own privacy policies apply to what they collect.
Use of your data
The collected data is used solely to improve the user experience and for the operational functioning of the app and website. We do not sell your data, and we do not share personal data with third parties except as necessary to provide and improve the service (the providers listed above).
Your privacy rights and deleting your data
We do not keep an account or a copy of your drawings, so there is nothing of that kind to delete. If you would like any data we may hold about you removed, or have any other privacy request, email cadnodes@gmail.com and we will process it in line with applicable privacy regulations. You can also limit analytics by using your browser's or Google's opt-out tools.
Children
The app is not directed at young children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes to our practices. Changes will be posted on this page, and we encourage you to review it periodically.
